Plan the placement

Use removable tape to outline the rug on your floor. Check furniture placement, walkways and door clearance before ordering.

Living rooms

Decide whether you want the rug to sit beneath the front legs of your seating or underneath the full seating arrangement. Measure the footprint you want to cover.

Bedrooms

Measure the bed and the floor space you would like the rug to cover beside and beyond it. Consider bedside tables and doors when planning the placement.

Dining rooms

Measure the table with chairs pulled out as well as tucked in, so you can choose a rug footprint that works during use.

Choose a shape

Rectangular rugs can define seating areas; runners suit long, narrow spaces. For round and square options, measure the full diameter or side length and compare it with the product's selected size. Available sizes and shapes vary by product option.
